EXECUBUTE: New Word For Oxford Dictionary.

For the Oxford Dictionary, I recommend a new word for inclusion in the Dictionary.

New Word:
ExecuBute
verb

Meaning:
"To execute a contract by distributing significant portion or all of the contract sum amongst those involved in the initiation and approval of the contract."

Creator:
Andrew Adedayo Adetoye

Instance of Usage:
Given Nigeria's multi billion $USD annual oil revenue, one would have imagined living standard of Nigerians to have improved significantly. It's not the case. Many contracts awarded by government over the years are never executed. These contracts are EXECUBUTED.

To EXECUBUTE capital projects rather than execute them leaves a wide gap in infrastructure development priorities of government, and this puts enormous pressure on budget cycles since capital expenditure items are repeated annually. EXECUBUTING contracts is fraud.

To EXECUBUTE government-awarded contracts in Nigeria over the years rather than genuinely execute them is largely responsible for infrastructure failure of the Nation in spite of funds committed to projects by the government annually.
